KRISHNA INSTRUCTS ARJUNA 2
Artist: Jadurani Devi Dasi
Just before the battle of Kurkshetra, the powerful Arjuna was bewildered seeing his relatives on the other side with such
a fighting spirit. Arjuna was a compassionate devotee and didn't want to unnecessarily hurt anyone. In his bewildered
state, Arjuna asked Krishna for instructions on what to do. Lord Krishna reciprocated by speaking the Bhagavad-gita or the Song of God. After Lord Krishna spoke the Gita,
Arjuna agreed to fight. Lord Krishna did not want the sinful Duryodhana as king of the world. He wanted Yudhisthira to rule
the world. Krishna had descended to establish religious principles, and this battle was destined to reestablish proper dharma. Lord Krishna's instructions to Arjuna are meant for all mankind to follow. Lord
Krishna's instructions to Arjuna (Bhagavad-gita) can be found in the beginning
of the Bhishma Parva in the Mahabharata.
