KRISHNA PROTECTS DRAUPADI
Artist: Jadurani Devi Dasi
The Pandavas were cheated out of their kingdom by the deceitful Shakuni along with Duryodhana, Duhsasana, Karna and others.
When Shakuni had won Draupadi, the chaste wife of the Pandavas, with a throw of the dice, the sinful Duryodhana wanted to
see her stripped naked. Here in this painting Duhsasana is trying to strip the chaste Draupadi of her dress. When Draupadi's
husbands couldn't protect her, she threw up her arms and called out to Lord Krishna. Krishna immediately reciprocated
by supplying her with unlimited sari cloth to protect her chastity. By keeping Lord Krishna in our hearts and minds, we can
overcome any obstacle in life by Krishna's grace.
