Lord Krishna instructs Arjuna: "Those whose minds are distorted by material desires surrender unto demigods
and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures. Endowed with such a faith, one
seeks favors of a particular demigod and obtains one's desires. But in actuality these benefits are bestowed by Me alone." (Bhagavad-gita 7.20-21)
Words of Wisdom for the Day
"The
Vedic literatures, although appearing polytheistic, are actually monotheistic. The worship of one Supreme Being, who expands
into many forms, is called Krishna. Lord Krishna takes many forms such as Vishnu, Narasimha, Vamana, Matsya, Kurma, Buddha,
Rama etc. and displays varieties of pastimes for the benefit of all humanity. The Supreme is not a static person, but dynamic.
One cannot fit Him into one's tiny brain."
