KRISHNA &
THE FRUIT VENDOR
Artist: Murlidhara Dasa
Once Krishna heard a woman calling out if anyone wanted to buy fruit. Krishna had seen His father barter so He took some grains
in His small palm and went to exchange the grain for some fruit. The grain was dropping from His small hand, and when He got
to the woman there only a few grains left. The woman was so captivated by Krishna's beauty and charm that she took the
few grains from His palm and filled His hands with as much fruit as He could carry. When she looked down at her basket it
had become full of jewels. This pastime is mentioned in the Srimad-Bhagavatam, 10th
canto, 11th chapter.
